This beach club is situated on a beautiful crescent shaped bay against a majestic backdrop of red tinted mountains and sparkling, clear turquoise water.
The low-rise buildings are dotted throughout an oasis of lush gardens, trees and abundant colourful flowers. This setting provides a cool retreat and a wonderful contrast to the dramatic desert surroundings.
The hotel faces a glorious 600m private stretch of fine golden sand, with acres of space to relax beneath shaded canopies. From here you are perfectly positioned to watch the activity on the water or wander along to our beach bar and watersports area. |
About the sailing :
With 300 days a year of wind above Force 4, you will get great conditions at almost anytime of the year. The wind, created by desert thermals, generally picks up mid morning and drops again mid afternoon, blowing cross-offshore. This is especially evident in the summer months when this beach club is at its windiest.
Windsurfers of every level and ability will find conditions to suit them at this club. In front of the hotel the beach shelves gently providing easy launching and gentler winds - ideal for beginners and intermediates. There is also an area known as the "speed course" with a choice of flat or choppy water, great for cracking advanced manoeuvres. Beyond the outer reef is ‘Kamikaze’ an area with ‘bump ‘n’ jump’ conditions for expert sailors. Dinghy sailing takes place in a specially designated area reached by a safety boat. Summer months bring strong winds which may limit the extent to which beginners can enjoy sailing. However the rest of the year provides great conditions for sailors of all abilities.
A safe, shallow, sandy lagoon offers the perfect introduction to kitesurfing for beginners. The lagoon is tidal and lessons take place in the morning or afternoon. |
About the diving :
Scuba divers will enjoy some of the most exciting diving the Red Sea has to offer including the famous Canyon and Blue Hole. All diving is accessible from the shore offering a great introduction to the sport for beginners. Snorkelling from this beach club is an amazing experience with hundreds of beautiful fish and coral within the first 10 metres. On shore you can explore the dramatic coastline on a series of winding off-road tracks, venturing past camels to superb snorkelling locations.
During the winter months when temperatures are cooler there is tennis coaching. If you would rather relax, it is easy to find a quiet spot on the beach, or join an excursion to one of Egypt’s many famous sites. |
